Operating Systems
Learn how to install, configure and personalized the latest operating system. This practical based module covers pertinent operational functions including file management and backup routines.
Microsoft Office
Learn to install and effectively use the Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access. This practical based module demonstrates how to use these applications within varying business contents.
Business Communication
Learners are taught how to apply critical communication skills within a variety of business contexts. Learn how to draft quality communication documents, speak effectively and analyse communication cues.
Business Mathematics
This module covers the various arithmetic calculations commonly associated with the effective running of a business including ROI, NPV, Budgets etc.
Fundamentals of IT
Learn the fundamentals of Information Technology. Cover key concepts such as the information system process, hardware, software, ergonomics and IT legislation
Internet and Email
This module teaches learners how to setup, configure and effectively use a web browser (Internet Explorer or Chrome) and emailing system (Outlook)

About the Qualification

The purpose of the qualification is to build the knowledge and skills required by learners in End User Computing. It is intended to empower learners to acquire knowledge, skills, attitudes and values required to operate confidently in the End User Computing environment in the South African community and to respond to the challenges of the economic environment.

The qualification provides a framework for learners to develop skills that will enable them to become competent in End User Computing. It introduces theoretical concepts of End User Computing and requires the application thereof, to develop a range of skills that will enable learners to be better-informed workers in their chosen industry. It provides a balanced learning experience that lays the foundation for access to further education, life long learning and to productive employment
